What are the differences between a 3C and a 7C?

The difference is basically the diameter of the cup of the actual mouthpiece. You can find the actual differences at this link:

http://www.bachloyalist.com/mouthpiece/mouthpieces_trumpet.htm

Summarizing, the 7C is smaller in diameter than the 3C. Also the 7C is the std. mouthpiece for beginning trumpet players.

Angel,

Go visit the Kanstul website they have an interactive graphic where you can overlay one mouthpiece over another and see graphically the exact differences. The differences may be less than you expect.

The 3C is actually more shallow than the 7C, believe it or not. The 3C has one of the more shallow C cups in the Bach mouthpiece range.
