IM interessted in buying a bach stradivarius 180 - 37 Bb-trumpet because Im used to how it feels and like the sound - but I want the trumpet to be a little bit heavier. I heard good things about the 37H bell and have some questions:

* I heard about a strike at Bach - does that mean I can't order a new trumpet?

* Is it hard to find a 37H on the used market?

* How thick is the heavy bell compared to the standard ones?

* The bells are made in lightweight, standardweight and heavyweight - are the rest of the trumpet (the 180) made in a heavy version? - Ive only played a standard and a lightweight version.

No, most of the larger US stores have multiple ones in stock (try Dillon Music in NJ)

* Is it hard to find a 37H on the used market?

No, lots of them are on eBay right now.
