This is a link of pictures of a trumpet I've purchased. I was wondering if you could look at it for me and tell me if it's exactly what they say it is. I still have the option of returning it. 1957 MT. VERNON. They say it has been completely unaltered and in original condition. What do you think? Thanks so much. Brian

Thanks for the images... It looks like a Mt. Vernon that is in very good shape. The best way to check to see if the horn has been replated is to spend extra time at the bell marking, and valve stamps... The bell marking (only one image off) looked like it might have been replated through the years - looked kind of washed out on the Mt... ... The valve markings looked crisp. Might want to look closer yourself. That said, not much value difference on a Mt. Vernon that has some work done on. Most horns 50 years old have some repairs, cleaning done through the years.

Overall looks really good. If you really want to know contact Conn Slemer customer service in Elkhart, IN and nicely request a shop card for the original configuration...

Good luck... Anyone else out there have an opinion?
