View Full Version : Holton T602 Models, difference between P and R

I found a Holton T602P for $1200.00 at a pawn shop, then looked it up online and find that the Holton T602 P c is a student level horn. I then find the T602 vintage horn as a pro series horn and to confuse matters worse, I then fine a T602R horn. What is the difference between these horns? I am a returning player and looking for an inexpensive Pro horn or a good intermediate horn. Any information is appreciated. I am looking at a T602P that is on Ebay for $195.00, much better price than the $1200, but I also found a T602R. HELP. I just want to make a good decision.

T602R was made by Yamaha (in Japan) for Holton. Student Level
T602P - Believe had a different option for the first valve slide? Is there a thumb saddle? Would guess there wasn't one.
T602 - The original was positioned as a semi professional horn.

The pawn shop price is way overpriced...
