I own two Holton trumpets, one: LT302s MFHorn, lite weight silver plate, #890790 and an older Al Hirt Special T500 silver plate, #457504. I've owned the MFHorn about 11 years now, purchased it new...bought the Al Hirt special about a year ago from e-bay, surprised by the condition, it is almost mint. The owner says he owns an instrument repair shop in Kansas, (I'm from Illinois) and it has been on his for-sale shelf for many years...not the original case or mouthpiece, but the horn is in mint condition, and I use it regularly.

Could someone tell me its' manufacture year? What is the difference between an "T" series 500 and a "ST" series? I noticed the pix of the ST500 AL Hirt Special on your site, and mine is a T500.

Thanx for looking!

457504 - Mfg. year 1968-1969 era

890790 - Mfg. year very recent... perhaps early 2000's...

The S series is a special series of the popular T series... There was also a LT series (Light Weight)

Hope this helps...
