The model 48, later known as the Revelation model, was one of Holton's premium trumpet lines. It was common for the US military to buy instruments for their bands, and have them engraved appropriately to reflect they were owned by the US military.

hi sir.thank you for the answer.all the 48 model has the reverce leadpipe?I'm buying one that has't.tha engraving on is:Holton 48 Elkhorn, Wis. U.S.A.can you tell me the value?thanks

my guess would be around $100-300.... There are two on eBya right now, one listed for $400, other for $150. Neither have bids on them though.

hi .I bought 48 for $ 250 I live in Italy and I have to pay 30% more 'taxes total 320 I think its a good price the trumpet is in good condition, 1946 What do you think? thanks
