I have my father in law's trumpet and it is a Frank Holton & Co. serial # 98732. By one list of numbers this appear to be from around 1929-30. It has not been played in at least 20 years. It appears to be in good shape and in its interesting original hard case with a spring lock. Any idea what its real date of manufactire is and/or what it may be worth? Any idea of a best place to sell it?

Thanks for any information you can provide. Stuart

Any unique engraving, model information on the trumpet? Condition, and specific model would indicate what past models have sold on eBay. You can do an Advanced search on eBay of past auctions to give you an indication. Low end models I've seen sell from $100 to some more professional models of a few hundred dollars...

It's a Llewellyn Model and I just saw an Ebay sale offer for a 1930 LLewellyn with a higher serial number at $1495 that received no bids.
