i purchased a holton clarke silver cornet with the yellow inside bell ($5.00)at a junk yard. I have had some work done on it. replaced tuning slide screw and nut, polished and cleaned. the valves look like copper? the serial number is 63931. any info on exact date and value.

plays ok but wonder if a leak. it has been used!

Built most like around 1923-1924, this is a nice model. This was a professional series cornet at the time. You can find some examples here:

Scroll down to the cornets/. In nice condition, I've seen sell for around $500 or so. It can highly dependent on the condition.
