Product Review: The 24B I have is from 1924 and it's an amazing horn. The valve action is phenomenal (Conn put out some absolutely top quality valves in many of their vintage horns). Mine has copper in the lower part of the valve block (only 2 or 3 years had this). The bell, designed small to enable unusual carrying power, is still capable of warmth along with its unusual projection prowess. For a disciplined player the 24B can enable a truly mind boggling upper range and not be exhausting. This is, without doubt, one of the nicest horns I've had... And I've had hundreds of horns; many Strads, Xenos and other newer professional horns as well as several Olds Supers and other vintage Conns. The Conn 24B, while quite rare, if found in good condition is certainly a worthy prize to possess.
