Product Review: I have had the 154r for long now, but always wanted to try the (more expensive) 159r. Wow. The smaller 6 inch bell made me wonder, but all is well balanced with this horn. All the good from the 154r AND add really buttery sound. Also the tone start is easier on this horn. If you want to play really soft, take this horn. Intonation is spot on, the 3rg trigger is needed on the low D. Also low ocatve pedaltone is refined tone and easy to play satisfactorily,The leadpipe runs differently from 154r, so it is design, not fault. And make sure you have the correct stem mouthpiece or otherwise intonation problems might follow.
