    trombone serial numbers

    Hello,
My old trombone from back in the days came out of my parents attic and into mine. back 1978, it was bought used. I would like to know how old it is. On the slide, there is stamped, 9 with 941 below.
    9
941 This is how it looks. Any one know?

  2. What is marked on the bell? On the slide, the marking may indicate the model #, followed by a serial number. Hard to say...

The bell would be a better indicator of age, history. Does it say Chicago, IL?
