Thread: Holton Cornet

  1. Holton Cornet

I have a cornet with "New Proportion" scribed on the bell and serial number 1737 on 2nd valve. Does anyone know anything about this?

  2. Through some research, I've only come across one picture of this horn in a Holton Band Instruments ad on this site. The difference between this horn and other Holton cornets is that the lead pipe wraps back around the second valve slide and back into the 3re valve. If this makes a difference on price and/or rarity please let me know.
