    cleaning methods for silver

What is the best way to maintain silver plate, and how should it be thoroughly cleaned? I have heard of chemical cleaning versus polish and cloth. Don't know anything about chemical method.

  2. I think the best thing to do is use a polishing cloth to get it clean then play the instrument. Playing the horn on a regular basis will keep it from tarnishing.

I've also seen a 3M product called Tarnishield strips that you can keep in the closed case, that will work well also. Do a google on this, and look at them (they are used for jewelry type storage)
