  1. Very Unusual Holton Trumpet from 1941

Hi, sorry about the large font but I wanted to see what I am typing. I have what is to me a very unusual Holton trumpet. It has a very large bell diameter of 5.55 inches. The serial number is 140718 and I think it is from 1941 manufacture. Here are two pictures of it:c.JPGb.JPG

I am hoping someone can identify this so I might find out added information. I looked at many photos on the loyalists website and did not see this. thanks, Dave Braun

  3. Thanks for the post

I appreciate your post from 1939 which is about the same time as my trumpet was made. Have you seen a trumpet like mine? thanks, Dave

I have one, have not seen another, am looking at one with a 4 digit serial number. Looks like 1905. Mine is silver plated and just out of rehab.

  9. It plays like a Bb trumpet but looks like a cornet with a large bell about the size of a fluglehorn bell

  10. Found another reference. This is a Holton Flugelhorn. Does the engraving say Collegiate in the engraving?

    Here's another example, SN 134xxx

Here's more detailed photos of the same horn. Are you sure it plays in Bb?
