Product Review: I've had two of these; one from '39 and one from '46. They were both excellent horns. With the same body as the Conn 22B; the only difference in the 12B is that the 12B has the Coprion bell. I have both a 22B and a 12B at the moment; they 12B with the Coprion bell is definitely a darker tone. Incredibly enjoyable to play. With a Reeves/Purviance mouthpiece you get a bright tone that carries very well and with a Trumpet-Flugel mouthpiece the sound is like velvet. Watch for worn valves on older vintage horns, a clean leadpipe and if you're lucky to find one in good condition it's worth a great sum. :)
