Pros: Construction quality, sound, valves, price
Cons: Case

A perfect horn in a perfect price. I bought it in my visit in AMATI's Prague shop. Heavy construction, deep sound, excellent intonation. With a reasonable amount of money you buy a pro's horn. If it was constructed in USA it would cost a fortune. Strongly recommended.

Pros: Beautiful, heavy construction, excellent intonation, oustanding valve action, first and second tuning slides are fast, great projection.
Cons: If one could consider such a thing a con, the third valve tuning slide slides out almost too easy?

This horn feels like a Getzen in my hands. The heavy bottom valve caps, the heavy braces, and the heavy mouthpiece contribute to a sturdy yet classy look. I have to agree with the previous reviewer that this is an excellent horn. Kent Allman (Allman Music) says the Amati 604 is the best pro horn under $3,000. I've tried out several horns in that price range and have to agree with that assessment. Music123.com currently (10/3/09) has a 15% price drop off the $899.99 sticker price! Get this trumpet before it gets more expensive. In fact, Giardinelli sells a GTR 812 Master Series Pro trumpet for $917: One look at it and you'll see it is just Amati's ATR 604 with Giardinelli's stamp!
