Pros: unique look and varied finishes available; excellent slotting; high quality fit and finish
Cons: heavy

I purchased a slightly used A4 SC (Shepherd's Crook) model that was .470 large bore. They do offer a .460 ML bore, which I have not played. My horn featured gold brass, yellow bass, rose brass and nickel, some polished and some scratched/satin finish = a stunning and beautiful looking horn. The bell is a massive 5.5" in diameter and it has a silky smooth, fat sound. Bauerfeind valves are flawless and fast = the best. I loved everything about this trumpet, but would physically get tired after 3-4 hour gigs because I was not use to the large bore. I never had an issue with the weight (a few friends of mine complained of the weight), which is more than a traditional trumpet. This model is offered in 3 weight options of thickness. Mine was a .040 = the lightest, so I imagine the thickest version would feel dramatically heavier than a traditional horn. Adams is made in Holland. I think it is one of the best horns I've ever played. The styling reminds me of a Monette, which is a good thing. Slotting, tone, flexibility, and all-around playability are excellent.
