Pros: Looks good, decent tone and intonation.
Cons: POOR VALVES and solder melts into valve oil!

I bought this trumpet as a backup to my Shew and I liked the tone and look right out of the box. Unfortunately after SEVERAL cleanings and relubes the valves still stick and I get a black residue building up after only maybe 20min of playing. The sticky valves render the horn unplayable so I warn you to avoid this horn until Bach can fix this issue.

Pros: Much improved response, build, intonation,

I recommend this student Bach trumpet enthusiastically. I can't speak too much to the previous posters concerns except to say I know that the Bach guys are always working on improved quality and the new TR500's coming off the line now are even better, improved response, quality, intonation, over all a very solid and truly excellent student Bach trumpet.

For professional models, the Bach Strads of course still set the standard.
