The world's highest degree of brasswind refinement in a short model cornet. Favorite of professionals and serious students for its free blowing and large bore feel. Electro-D mouthpipe and bell. Third valve slide throw ring. First valve trigger. Micro-finish mouthpipe. Length 17 1/8". Bell 4 13/16".

Pros: very warm, classic cornet sound
Cons: valves stick often, can't play in "A". Difficult to play high

This is a fairly good cornet. It delivers a very warm, dark, classic cornet sound. Now that I play orchestral, liturgical, jazz, concert, and marching music, I am having to upgrade, though. This cornet is perfect for traditional brass bands and smooth jazz, but horrible for orchestral and litugical music. The valves are noth the best, the trigger works poorly, the tuning slide can only tune to Bb (not A like most modern cornets), and once you play past a high G you start to lose the good sound. But otherwise, it is a good cornet.
