A solid '9' for beginner level horns. I now own three of them for my kids. I send them off for tuneups and get them back, good as new. I probably pay $80 for the horn and $60 for the full tuneup/ding fix. I had two silverplated [+$200].
My kids can fill the horn up with air easily, the valves are good enough, and I find the overall quality to be far better than today's rental beginner horns. Nothing has ever broken. I'm very pleased with the Conn Directors.

I've used slick stuff, blue juice, al cass, holton, and when I was reccommended to try Pro-Oil i was skeptical, but what a difference! I wouldn't use anything else.
