Pros: Easy-open velcro closure & portability & professional appearance.
Cons: Not overly protective.

This mute bag has served me faithfully for over 8 years and other than a couple of minute dings on my metal mutes (probably for knocking against each other), I have never had a problem with it. The only three cons that I can think of are:
1.) the velcro, while very convenient, is extremely noisy to open. This is not the bag to be opening in the middle of a concert when you realize that you didn't get your mutes out yet and you need them for the current selection.
2.) the thin material that constitutes the bag is not overly protective, so this probably wouldn't be the best bag to use with very high-end mutes
3.) if you are one to carry a wide variety of mutes, be warned that this bag has a somewhat moderate capacity. I currently have the following stuffed into my Bach mute bag: 2 cups, 3 straights, 1 harmon, 1 practice, 1 piccolo straight, 1 Crown Royal bag, 2 plungers, 2-3 miscellaneous valve oil bottles, and other small accessories. This pretty much fills the entire bag, almost to the point of it being difficult to close securely.

Anyways, if you are looking for a mute bag that is easy to use, can hold around 10-13 mutes, and looks professional, this is it.
