Review Date: 12/28/2004 Would you recommend the product? No | Price you paid?: $400.00 | Rating: 3

Pros: none
Cons: slides, valves, tone, finish

Very bad instrument. Finish wears off easily. Valves need oiling and cleaning a lot. Slides don't even move. Not a long lasting instrument. The worst part is that I bought it new.

Pros: Nice Tone, Good pitch, made well
Cons: case could be better. Needs larger accessory compartment

I bought my Winston 475LTH a few months ago and I absolutely love playing it. The tone is warm and centered and the valves work smoothly. I teach trumpet and I would rcommend this instrument to anyone.

Review Date: 11/20/2005 Would you recommend the product? Yes | Price you paid?: $300.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Nice tone, good workmanship
Cons: slight intonation problems in the upper register

Not a bad starter horn, mine was received in flawless condition. Silver plate is very handsome.
I got this as a backup horn to my Benge LA.
Valves are fairly smooth but should break in to be even better.
Mouthpiece has a lot of mass and not bad sounding.
Case needs more storage for accessories.
