Description:
This horn is absolutely unique!

Hearing it on Roy Hargroves recordings is only half the story. You have to experience its mixture of two sound qualities yourself.

The design is extraordinary it looks almost like the surface of the moon.

Pros: tone,intonation,build quality
Cons: none!

This review is really about the Amarone but I am sure all Inderbinen instruments are equally awesome. Maybe someday a photo of the Amarone will get to this site. The sensitivity of this thing is unbeleivable. The tone is unique in that it has many qualities all at the same time. Not as dark as the Silverart but every bit as lush and warm sounding.Behind this horn there is something about the overtones that rings consistently throughout it's range. A kind of purity I have never heard before in any trumpet including bach, courtois, marcinkiewitz, besson, yamaha, schagerl ,monke. I guess it has to do with the unique way they make the bell. The purity of the overtones combined with fantastic slotting make it seem that it is impossible to play out of tune.Playing with other instruments becomes a bit of a new experience due to these qualities. The tuning bell system is something that i will never do without again!Lastly, it is built with watchmaker precision and attention to detail. At just over 5k the price is a steal for what you get; a true work of art that plays like it!
