Description:
The ZKT 1500B trumpet features a lightweight 4 7/8" bell and matching mouthpipe. It balances sizzle and blend for all around use. It is excellent as a section instrument. Availalbe in Silver.

Pros: Intonation, versatility and response
Cons: lightweight bell dings easily

I have the 1500B in lacquer (I'm tired of looking at silver trumpets) and I am very pleased with this horn. It is basically Kanstul's version of a Bach Strad 37 except it has a lightweight bell (like the old Mt.Vernons). This horn provides the ease of play and wonderful sound of the Bach coupled with the response and intonation of a Schilke. Think of this horn as what you'd get if you crossed a Bach Strad with a Schilke. This is a wonderful instrument I wouldn't hesitate to recommend trying. I've played and owned other Kanstul models and so far this is my favorite. This horn is nothing like the 1500 or other 1500 series horns so don't think it's just a 1500 with a lightweight bell-- all the models are totally differerent animals. A very fine trumpet!

Pros: SOUND !!!
Cons:

Just bought one of this with some custom touch (made at Kanstul): 25-O leadpipe and 37 heavyweight bell.
It resembles the sound of my Callet Soloist more than the Strad 37.
BRAVO !!!

Pros: Sound. Intonation. Response.
Cons: POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP!

The playability of this horn is excellent. The fit and finish was VERY poor and sloppy. Horn was sent back to Kanstul twice before I gave up and demanded my money back. I have no idea if I just had bad luck and got one of the rare 'bad ones' but after all the praise I heard of Kanstul I was amazed with their lack of quality control. Buyers beware!

Pros: response, easy high register
Cons: None

The regular weighted body with light bell seems to be a great mixture.
Opens up easily but stays centered.
I donīt like the Standard Strad 37, because for me personally it seems to get tight at the upper register. The 1500B compensates that aspect and offers a free blowing high register.
The manufacturing quality is very good.
