Description:
The Brass Spa Practice Mute

Trumpet players no longer have to sacrifice range, endurance or the integrity of their practice during sessions when a mute is necessary. The Brass Spa practice mute is free blowing and does not back up in the lower and upper registers like other mutes on the market. Whether you're on the road, in an apartment, or just want to get in some late night practicing, this practice mute delivers.

Pros: inexpensive
Cons:

I was disappointed in this product. It didn't stay in the bell without being held there, and it didn't mute much better than my Vacchiano straight mute.

Cons:

I tried one of these out and couldn't figure out why it was called a practice mute. It is louder than just sticking in a harmon. It is cheaply made and look closely at it with fresh eyes. The original one was an air freshener from the supermarket with a little duct tape and cork. Pay $10 more and get something that won't wake your neighbors.

Pros: It works as a quiet mute. I don't play louder than piano with this mute. It is easy to play.
Cons: It is a bit fragile. Don't drop it on concrete.

This is a fine product. Lately I have seen other mute that look the same.
I have a Bach practice mute that seems indestructible. I like this mute.
