Pros: Sound
Cons: Intonation, projection

I think these mutes (with the stem removed) sound very nice indeed, however, without a microphone you'll have trouble getting anyone to hear you.

The mute is very stuffy, as you might expect from a Harmon, and the intonation is a bit ... slippery. However, this works very well for small-group work, though I have had trouble in the past getting a sound big enough to match other players using Jo-Rals etc. in a big-band setting.

Pros: Sound
Cons: stem

This is a great mute. The sound is very good, however, i have a problem with the stem staying in the mute. I usually have to play with it until it is secure, which can be very annoying sometimes.

Pros: Sound
Cons: Playability

I have used this mute several times in my band, but I have trouble just blowing air through the thing. I have tried alternative harmon's and have realized that this mute, aside from its nice sound is very hard to play.

Pros: Classic sound
Cons: Tuning, Volume

It has the nice Harmon sound, but is hard to play in tune, and is WAY too quiet.
