Pros: Well made
Cons: Lousy tuning

Loads of people use these but I hate them 'cos they make such a mess of the tuning. If you need a straight mute, buy a Humes & Berg!

Pros: Well made, good sound
Cons: Intonation

I think these mutes are very good - I have no real complaints about mine!

Pros: Well made, common as heck, cheap
Cons: Sound, tuning, metal is thin and easily dents

This mute is common and loads of people use them, so you won't stick out in a section, though the sound isn't great and the tuning is bad, real bad. they easily dent and then they rattle too. they're alright for section playing because everyone is in the same boat regarding tuning, but when you have to do a solo with one you really notice the intonation, tuning and mediochre sound quality.

Pros: Good metal sound, cheap, corks
Cons: Metal is thin, tuning

If you want a mute with a jarring sound (like if you're playing symphonic songs for band), this mute is great. It's a very metal sounding mute. I like it, and think it's the best mute for the price.
