The quality is built in and that?s why the Jean Baptiste 900S flugelhorn plays like pro horns that sell for hundreds of dollars more! Highlights: 10.49 mm (0.413") bore; hand hammered (6.496") one piece bell; boxed bronze springs; Monel pistons; nickel silver outer slides; vertical tuning slides; third valve slide trigger; two water keys. Includes a hard foam Protec case. Since 1932, Jean Baptiste has been devoted to finding value in lower-priced brass and woodwind instruments. Our instruments have passed inspections by our shop specialists for durability and then are tested by professional players for tonal quality, intonation and playability. Even after that approval, we continue to demand improvements and check out every piece before it is shipped. The result is that we can confidently say that Jean Baptiste instruments represent a value unequaled anywhere. This is all backed up by one of the best warranties of any instrument on the market. Full one year on parts and labor, and if we cannot fix it we will replace it with another instrument of same or equal quality FREE.

this is the absolute best deal out there in a new flugel. it is identical to the B&S 3145, because that's exactly what it is! it's stamped jean baptiste for sam ash which sells them for $799. over the years, i've tried all the great flugels out there and always kept coming back to the bach strad 193 as the benchmark flugel(also think very highly of the conn v1). so to me, the jean baptiste(b&s 3145) is virtually identical in blow, sound, & visually to the 193 which makes it one of the great bargains out there.
