I repaced a mid-seventies bach strad with the getzen 3051. It's been a pleasing horn to play. I wouldn't limit it to playing jazz alone( this is most of the work I do). It feels like an all around trumpet. Keep in mind it's a custom horn that can be bought at a mass produced price.

Played at Dawkes in maidenhead uk versus a bach strad 37lr it was just in a higher class. Still prefer the B&S 3178/2 for the money though. Bell looks more copper than brass to me. Its also not that "heavy" though Getzen describe it as such its more middleweight to me. A very good all round horn that's definitely not old fashioned. The slides/valves fit so well it has great compression....the grip and balance is also good.
Credit where its due, this is better than a Bach and adaptable to any style of music. Not well known in the UK.

I’m not sure when Getzen redesigned their Custom Series horns, but the ones I’ve played recently in the stores were impressive given their price. The last one I played was a 3051. I can honestly say it is one of the best sounding and playing trumpets I’ve ever tried. I immediately fell in love with it. If you’re looking for a great horn with a dark, warm tone and can’t afford a Calicchio Copper, this may be it. For the money, I can’t think of a better option.
(I know you can get a reverse lead pipe if that’s a preference, but I think you can get a copper bell as well.)

This horn replaced my bach strad. i just love the feeling of the horn. If you're looking for a good responding horn with a beautiful sound at a reasonable price then this horn is for you
