Plays free and in tune in all ranges. Adjustable bracing on the 3rd 1st and lead pipe. Non lacquered version brass with valves that the smoothest and most responsive I have played.

I am a part time player that wanted to take a step up to the next level. I was playing on a Virtu (Benge clone) New York revisited. It was a nice horn to play until I played the GFT. I highly reccommend this horn, it is well worth the investment and can be customized to your playing ability and style.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Daniel Rosenboom. I've been working with Ken Larson as long as I've been getting work done on my trumpets, and I can say with full enthusiasm that Ken is a master craftsman. I've had my C, B-flat, and E-flat modified and customized by Ken Larson and these instruments were the pinnacle of what I thought possible, even when compared with the newest, hottest instruments on the market. But when I tried Ken's new GFT line of custom instruments, I was completely blown away. I'm actually trying to sell my current instruments, which are spectacular horns, so that I can buy a complete line of these horns. The GFT B-flat trumpet that Ken has designed is by far the best B-flat trumpet I've ever played. It sings with a beautiful tone at every dynamic, has clear and crisp response, slots like a piano, but has an incredible range of coloristic possibilities. If you need to sound like a flugel, no problem. If you need to sound like a sizzling lead trumpet, no problem. And everything in between is easily achieved. I think this is a spectacular instrument and would give it my highest recommendation to anyone looking for an amazing B-flat trumpet. A truly artist-level instrument. Bravo Ken!

Ken Larson is trully a genius, somehow he can build the best trumpets in the world and no one even knows about them. He worked under Bob Malone and this is surely obvious in his perfection of the trumpet.
Essentially he builds you a blank canvus, allowing for you, the artist, to paint it leaving no worries on the equiptment. From Orchestra to Big Band his horns can fit anywhere.
Kens GFT X trumpets are amazing, they are even on every single note and when compared to the new Yamaha Artists Model ( New York or Chicago) he makes them look like a begginers model. You have to try them out without a question, he is a diamond in the rough.
