I bought mine in1960 and have been playing ever since. It has been a great horn to me, it has played everywhere.

I had it completely restored in 1995 as I played it at my daughtor wedding. I was 13 years of age when I bought it in 1960. I would love to know how many are still be usued.

Early Holton trumpets are very well made. This cannot be disputed. Furthermore, they are easy to play. The 47 is a horn you can start using on gigs from day one. It will not fail you. All it needs is a musical idea and some air support. There are no weird notes or anything else to trip you up.

Very easy playing horn. Easy to play upper registers. Everyone who has played my horn has loved it (so far anyway)! Great sound.
