Yamaha Bobby Shew Harmon Mute

Description: Key Specifications:
MU-SHEW Bobby Shew "Soloist" Harmon mute; for trumpet

Bobby Shew "Soloist" Harmon Mute—Exclusively from Yamaha!

Trumpeters who have shied away from the thin, "tin-like" sound of a regular Harmon mute now have an opportunity to hear and experience a warmer, darker Harmon sound that is designed specifically for soloists. The mute maintains this warmth while still generating a centered sound with "sizzle" that projects easily when pushed, thanks to the materials used in making the mute, as well as the physical features and design. The mute features a stem that is soldered in a fixed position in order to get the proper sound qualities for a good solo sound.

Pros: Tone
Cons: only good for midregister

This mute sounds absolutley beautifull in the staff. Anything low or high just dosent work. Also, this is not a versatile mute. Dont buy this for section work. The cork fell of mine the 4th day I had it and the copper is discoloring.

Pros: Excellent Tone
Cons: Not enough projection

This is an excellent mute for soloing on a microphone or for recording only. Should only be used by advance players
