Pros: nice warm round tone, rose brass bell
Cons: bad intonation on low d

i really wanted to like this horn. i always wanted one in the 80's and 90's. the horn has a nice sound but has some intonation problems. the workmanship is not that of earlier conn's.

Pros: has a beautiful tone especially in the lower registers
Cons: have to pay attention to valve maintenance as they can get sticky quite easily

I bought mine new back in 1988. It has taken a beating, and still plays as well as the day I got it. The tone is awesome with the Bach 7C mouthpiece. I love it, and have had many opportunities to replace it with a more expensive model, but each time I just haven't been able to justify it.

Pros: it's built great, has an awesome tone, easy to maintain, plays great on the lower notes, and much more.
Cons: need to oil valves often.

I'm only a begginner (4th year) but compare to all of the other trumpets I've heard and played, it rocks!!
