This is a great horn with a very flexible timbre. It goes from a cornet sound to almost a trumpet sound when leaned on. My only surprise with it was three streaks radiating from the bell chime up towards the throat of the bell. They appear to be in the plating, but a repair tech suggests they are under the plating. Anyway, no big deal but atypical for Schilke.

After experimenting with a number of mouthpieces, I found that the Schilke MP's worked best, no idea why.
