Description: Key Specifications:
1602S

0.459" Medium-Large Bore, Silver Plated with 24K Gold Trim and Fittings. 1602S-RSB1 shown featuring .925 Sterling Silver reverse mouthpipe, yellow brass bell with regular taper (1).

The craftsmanship that goes into each Tribune XO trumpet parallels that of the most expensive handmade horns. A player will find the Tribune XO’s feel to be both comfortable and balanced. Every Tribune XO, whether a .462" large bore or a smaller bore model, has exacting characteristics that allow players to better achieve a centered pitch in all registers. The .459" medium-large bore, in particular, provides the ideal volume and carrying power for all-around playing.

The Tribune XO’s classic design features a 1st valve thumb saddle, 3rd valve throw ring, and horizontal 3rd valve slide stop (an optional vertical style is available). The Tribune XO series is equally pleasing aesthetically with two lever-style water keys, angled bell-to-mouthpipe braces and 24k Gold plated fittings, including both pearl inlay and solid metal finger buttons as standard features. Included with each horn are two main tuning slides (standard elliptic and rounded) as well as a set of regular and a set of light valve springs. Trumpet players can further customize their sound by choosing from the custom options; standard or reverse mouthpipe, rose brass or .925 Sterling Silver mouthpipe material, and yellow brass or rose brass bell in regular, slow or fast taper.

Jupiter is recognized worldwide as a manufacturer of high quality brass instruments. Years of research and contact with leading players and educators have resulted in the development of these extraordinary trumpets. Jupiter Tribune XO trumpets are designed to meet the needs of discriminating players and offer excellent tone, feel, and playability. Utilizing computer-aided engineering and design, Jupiter blends modern technology with proven old-world hand craftsmanship such as hand lapping valve sections and hand hammering each bell.

This all leads to the professional look, sound, and feel of the Tribune XO series of trumpets, striving to be among the finest in the world.

Pros: Great range,good tone,good price
Cons: Negative?

Ive been playing on this horn for about a year and all I can say is very nice. its got great range, tone. the price is great. I mean a strad. like this would (with rev. lead pipe and gold trim.) would be about $3500. Great horn! but if you got 20 grand to spear the get a monette. If you are poor like me you don't so, buy this if you want a good trumpet that will last you many years to come and do it looking nice.

Pros: tone, range, PRICE, matches up with the strad.
Cons: none at this price Highly underrated horn

I paid $350.00 on ebay from a seller who did not realize what she had. Yes, the bell was damaged, leadpipe slide was frozen...it was obvious that the horn had been abused. I had the horn restored. I also replaced the bell with a single plane copper bell. Valve block is fantastic. Mine is the 2005 tribune xo model. For the money new.....it is one of the most underrated horns available. It matches a 180-37 strad perfectly......beats kanstul and getzen and even the vaunted xeno. Now, depending on the music you play and your training choosing a trumpet is a personal choice.....this should be in your stable.....I return to it again and again. I blows so freely, slots and ranges like nobody's business. Tone, with the copper bell is slightly darker.....but sounds so gorgeous! Bach strads. are great horns.....but you know what? Overpriced and hyped. Play this, try a few other horns, and maybe just save yourself about a grand!

Pros: good tone slots easy easy blowing choice of two tuning slides
Cons:

i have been playing on this horn now for about 4yrs now and i would say for the price of this horn it can not be matched. The only problem iI have with this hor is the fact that i am a military musician and i march a lot and this i feel was not made for that. it does not project as well as i had hoped it would, or as well as many other horns i have tried. but at the end of the day i would take this horn over any bach strad any day!!!!!
