Pros: Beautiful tone and colour, very free blowing
Cons: Thayers valves need more maintenance than rotary valves

the bach basstrombone classic sound, with the free blowing thayers addiction.
Very big, warm, great tune!

Pros: Huge sound, but able to play the delicate or dexterious material
Cons: Bell seems thin (10.5" Gold Bell) easy to damage (creasing)

I have had this horn since 2005 and love it. It is my 5th bass bone and my 3rd Bach. The Thayer valves are easy to dismantle and maintain and are very free blowing. Great in symphonies, big band, studio and solo work. Paul Roberts, bass trombonist Kansas City Jazz Orchestra
