Pros: Free blowing, beautiful tone, can be played forcefully without overpowering the sound.
Cons: Hard to find in the US.

I own a Selmer-Paris Largo that I bought new in about 1965; it is a beautiful and sought-after instrument. I got the 1200 (its ultimate replacement) mainly out of curiosity. It plays somewhere between the Largo and the Bach 42, and in the short time I've owned it I definitely prefer it over either. It is amazing free and easy to blow and the range is excellent considering its large size. I'll perhaps add a few notes after I've played it for a longer period. In the meantime strongly recommended.
