All Getzen Custom Series Trombones are based on the best designs from the Getzen ProShop. Custom Series Trombones are designed to offer players the ability to choose between different bells and leadpipes. This allows the player to customize their trombone to deliver the desired sound and response. Custom Series Trombones are ideal for college music majors and top professional trombonists.
Custom Series Tenor Trombones are available with either yellow or red brass bells. The professional weight hand slides are yellow brass with nickel silver end crooks and oversleeves. All Custom Series Tenor Trombones come with three interchangeable leadpipes to enable the player to further customize the response of the instrument to meet any need.
Axial flow valves have revolutionized the playing of the F attachment on the trombone. The operation of the valve keeps the air column entering the attachment relatively straight. This makes playing through the attachment much like playing through an open horn. Getzen high performance axial flow valves are smooth, quiet and easy to maintain.

An excelent trombone, better than others that I have tried out. Great tone and craftsmanship make this an excellent buy.

Cons:
Thayer valve ball linkage is plastic, kinda cheap considering the quality of the rest of the horn.
I previously played on a bach 42BO. This horn gets the same big sound with much less effort, and the trigger is much easier to blow through. After I replaced the plastic part of the valve linkage, I have no complaints whatsoever about this horn. The response of the horn is so much better than my old bach 42 and the sound is just as good if not better. I highly recommend it.

I've had mine for 12 years or so, and I have NEVER had a problem. I have never replaced the linkage, never had to repair anything due to craftsmanship. Great sound, amazing response. The plastic linkage, if well oiled and maintained, is very quiet and durable. I've seen too many metal linkages get clanky after a couple years. Mine is still as tight as the day I bought it, and has held up well.
