The first thing often noticed about the Holton B302R is its balance and comfortable feel. Beyond its admirable appearance, the B302R offers a rich, full baritone voice with an exceptional high range, accurate intonation and superior voicing throughout its entire scale. Popular in advanced bands because of its expressiveness and ability to achieve dynamic control at both low and high volumes, it features an upright bell, medium-deep mouthpiece and formed carrying case.

Pros:
Rich sound, beautiful high range
Cons:
Intonation in lower range
The Holton B302R is a great intermediate horn for the developing student. I have used the horn since early high school and have had few problems with it other than intonation in the lower range, which happens with most non-compensating horns.
The first thing I noticed with it is that the high range is much easier to reach due to the tenor shank and size of horn being just a bit smaller than, say, a Wilson euphonium.
