We proudly present the Austin Stage470LT Bb trumpet - a very versatile instrument with high energy when pushed and a lush dark sound when a more mellow tone is desired. We think you will be very impressed with the sound, feel and response of this instrument.
-Large .470 bore for a big, full sound that won’t break up when pushed hard
-Reverse leadpipe for an open, unobstructed feel
-Standard Bronze or Copper bell for a darker sound than typical brass (brass offered as an option)
-Standard lightweight bell for quicker response (this feature also seems to counteract the dull sound usually associated with bronze or copper bells)
-Minimal bracing keeping the horn free to vibrate-Heavy mouthpiece receiver to concentrate the energy at the entry point of the horn for maximum efficiency.
-Heavy bottom caps standard for secure slotting in the upper register.
-Two sets of interchangeable valve springs standard – 1 set for a light, quick feel, 1 set for a rigid, secure feel
-Protec Single Trumpet Case
-Kanstul CG3 mouthpiece (Claude Gordon 3)

Pros:
Very free blowing, easy to play.
Cons:
I've tried out a lot of professional trumpets in the last 2 months.
I'll be puchasing one of these, haven't made up my mind on the bell material yet, but the whole package can't be beat.
I've tried all three of these horns, Brass, Copper and Bronze.
They are very free blowing, sound full and wonderfull and are easily worth much more than they are asking !
But don't tell them that!
The Bronze is a good middle ground between the brass and copper sound.

Pros:
Free Blowing, Focused energy, does not obstruct your musical flow
Cons:
wish someone would have told me about them sooner
I got the Bronze bell brushed brass version with their unreleased heavy trim kit. Makes it even more efficient of a horn, darkens the sound making it perfect for getting the middle ground between trumpet and flugelhorn. The horn really screams when you want to and really whispers when you tell it to. It really follows your musical movement, it has no "Sweet" spot and does not favor going up or down or loud or soft. It just makes it easy for me to go where I want to go, when I want to go there. Seriously, try these guys out! Very professional company, and I could see a large waiting list forming for these horns. Their flugel is my next purchase!
