Pros:
Brilliant Tone, best valves, flexibility with different bells
Cons:
No longer produced
This trumpet has a big, brilliant tone and the best valves in the business. The
tunable bells option allows you to use different bells.....allows you to get a different tone and keeps your blow the same.
I have two additional bells for this trumpet which have been made by a tech who is not associated with Getzen as they no longer provide bells for my 1980trumpet.
I have no idea why they stopped making these. Great, great horn!

Pros:
Brilliant , powerfull tone, even scale
Cons:
Additional bells no longer available from Getzen
I bought this horn a couple of years ago with the idea that I would purchase some additional bells for it later on......unfortunately no more bells available from Getzen.
On the bright side, this is still my main horn.....I use the yellow brass bell that came standard with this horn. These horns were a real work-horse in the Getzen line up and were made to compete with the best trumpets. It is more powerfull sounding than the Doc Severinson Eterna which can be too bright in my opinion. This horn fits into any musical situation.
If you could find one of these horns with additional bells it would be like winning the lottery.
I also found the slotting on these trumpets very similar to the slotting on the fixed bells trumpets.
