Pros: nice sound - opens up in the upper register
Cons:

I have had this horn for about ten years and love it. It is a silver large bore. Great sound, plays in tune, lower register jumps are great.
I am not a Bach fan but, I would get this one again

Pros: Easy to play, nice open upper register
Cons: Has a more trumpet-like sound

I have had a 184ML since 1994. It is a brilliant cornet. It has a lovely tone, is easy to play and has a super upper register. Its only drawback is that it doesn't have the archetypal british brass band sound of the Besson Sovereign. It has a lovely tone, warm and rich, but it is like that of a very warm trumpet.

Pros: ease of blowing, valve action.
Cons: finish, intonation

Having played many Bb cornets and having heard great things about Bach I was very disappointed. The finish was poor in places (excess solder visible etc). Valves were very nice, but it was a real pain to play (and keep) in tune.
A cornet which, in future, I shall avoid.

Pros: Familiar Bach blow
Cons: Sounds too much like a trumpet

Good horn for concert band or orchestra cornet parts, but the sound is too trumpet like for brass band. If you are a Bach trumpet player you will feel very comfortable on this horn.
