Pros:
great pistons, 3rd valve slide trigger
Cons:
any flugelhorn is hard to get and keep in tune
Great horn! I play trombone for a local jazz band, but my true passion is flugelhorn. Great horn, I occasionally play the E.M Winston 475LTH trumpet as well, no problems with E.M. Winston. Great horns.

Pros:
Modest cost, reasonably dark sound, good intonation
Cons:
Third valve trigger need constant attention-seems slightly misaligned
Being a returning player I chose to add a flugel to my kit-bag without a major oulay of cash. I tried most of the moderately priced horns at a large retailer and was close to purchasing another when the salesman suggested I try out the Winston. Within a few minutes I felt that it outplayed all of the others I had tried, and my use of it in two concert bands causes no complaints.

Pros:
Great Classic Flugel Sound! Price!
Cons:
Intonation Issues as found in all other flugels, 2 piece bell
Not bad at all! This horn really does get a pretty good classic flugel sound. The intonation is about average for a flugelhorn. The valves do tend to stick a little at first when pulling it out after letting it sit for a while. Overall great for a first flugel.
