The brilliant and vibrant tone of the F sopranino trumpet makes it suitable for difficult oratorio performances of Bach and other baroque composers. The model 192 features a small bore and short bell. Optional slides available to tune to Eb.

Pros:
great finish, great valve action, good sound
Cons:
low range pitch issues, takes some practice to hold
My Bach F trumpet is a 1965 very early Elkhart horn, made before the reverse tuning slide was made standard on this model. The valves are very smooth, typical of Bach horns. Like my strad G trumpet, the horn has a focused, light sound which works great in small groups, but has trouble projecting over large ensembles. The sound quality of the horn is excellent, but also like my G trumpet low C# and D are difficult to center. The Bach Strad F and G trumpets are rarely appreciated (or used) but they are pretty good horns nonetheless.
