This 1.3 ounce bottle of standard valve oil is a perfect size to carry around in your case. Manufactured by the Yamaha company, the quality is excellent, and we recommend this product for use with any brand of instrument.

Pros:
Free with purchase of Yamaha instruments
Cons:
doesn't work
On the weekends I teach a bunch of kids to play brass instruments, tpt, tbn, tuba. I noticed their valves sticking... funny, I see them oiling it everytime before practicing... They use this oil because it comes with the care kit of their instruments(Yamaha). I tried it myself, the next thing I know my valves were sticking like crazy... Cleaned my valves, applied Al Cass... back to normal! I would not recommend this oil in any situation.

Pros:
Cons:
Too Thick!
It's just too thick - valves are smooth but slow. A waste of money and time - it's murder to clean off the valves when you want to go back to Al Cass!!

Pros:
everyone believes you are using a "good'' brand.
Cons:
thicker than vegetable oil.
This the oppisite of a good valve oil. After I used the piece of crap,my valves started to stick like crazy!I swear my valves would be smoother if I used sand instead of this thick- like-goo oil.Yamaha, you are shame!!!

Pros:
high viscosity, long lasting, leaves valves clean
Cons:
thick, not for all horns
I use on an older Couesnon Flugelhorn and this oil works very well... long lasting, smooth valve action, leaves valves clean with little to no residue like many oils. I tried this on a newer Cornet with tight valve tolerance and it didn't work as well... for newer instruments I'd go with a thinner oil like Al Cass or Ultra Pure. I recommend this oil for instruments that are a bit older, I've never had valves stick with it but I make an honest effort to keep the valves and casings clean.
