Jupiter really makes some fine instruments at a really affordable price, I like this horn and it plays remarkably well but I think that the lightweight bell (straight version) is just a little tinny sounding , The upright bell has much
more core to the sound. But all in all this is a really cool concept for a horn, two bells with different characteristics.

Pros:
Up/Dizzy bell and ability to tune horn at the bell
Cons:
Tinny/thin straight bell?? Amado water keys.
I'm in the market for one of these just for the Dizzy upturned bell part. Woul be neat as a novelty for the stage, but being already a "bright" player I dunno if the thinner material straight bell would work for me. I already play a heavyweight horn with a bronze bell that kicks butt and has a big beefy sound to it. Dunno if something could be added to the thin bell to beef it up or not. I remember seeing old adverts for "tone rings" that used to mount on a trumpet bell. I'm also thinking if I DO get one of these, I may want to tweak it by raising the bent bell a bit higher to match Dizzy's, and then replace the Amado water keys with regular lever ones. Also may add one to the 1st slide depending on whether it fills up or not.
