The sneaky boys at Sam Ash set out to steal some thunder from Bach, and the 900S is what they came up with.
Side by side, the 900s is visually IDENTICAL to a standard Bach Stradivarious, save for the engraving. Once you begin playing however, the differences start to show. The horn had a remarkably airy sound when I tested it, despite the valves and fittings being tight. Even with a large mouthpiece, the tone was not that impressive.
Ash distributed these with a pro-tec case, which is light and functional and would serve the intermediate student well.
Priced about $100 less than the intermediate TR200 and roughly $400-500 less than a full-blown Strad, this would make a viable alternate horn or a decent option for an intermediate student.

First played the trumpet and noticed that it resembled a model 37 Bach in appearence. After playing for a couple of minutes I felt that the action was a little stiffer than a Bach (maybe due to newness). Horn blew smooth up and down the register from low e to high f. Intervels moved through freely and intonation was good. Enharmonics were very close with little slide movement. While playing this horn I noticed that if you are trying to compare it to a Bach it is like comparing a Bach to a Conn or King. Horn has a slightly brighter thinner tone than a model 37 Bach. Years ago I played a B&S Challenger horn which I immediately noticed similarities in the TP900S. The B&S horn was about 1500.00 though. I wonder if Ash got B&S to make this horn as they get other Eroupe companies to make other models. Either way this is a great playing horn for overall pro playing. Does it all good but would suggest adding a reverse lead pipe for certain special applications. Bach 1799.99 vs. TP900S 799.99. Pretty good deal.
