Pros: Bright, compact, open sound, with not too much resistance
Cons: Amado water keys have been prone to sticking; third valve is noisy

This is a good intermediate trumpet for high school students beyond the beginner level. Its at home in the jazz band, pep band or the marching band due to its brightness. You can push the instrument fairly hard without the tone breaking up, and that, too makes it a good choice for high school applications. I bought the trumpet to practice with my students and to have handy as a spare horn in emergency situations.

I have had some trouble with the Amado water keys, even after use of penetrating oil regularly to unstick them. It has been to the shop several times for this problem and they work okay after it comes back, but the sticking reaapears soon afterward. Also, the third valve is noisy, caused by a valve guide that is ill-fitting. Very high maintenance schedule need to keep this particular instrument working.

Pros: good price/quality relation
Cons: bad lacquer/silver plate

Nice bright sound, a bit on the thin side, easy to play.
Interestingly as heavy as my Bach, so not that lightweight, as you could expect from the description.
The lacquer quality is bad and also the silver plated one I´ve owned had a lot of non-polished spots. Has a two-piece bell (not mentioned in the descriptions I saw).

Pros: valve action
Cons:

I BOUGHT THIS ML1S RATHER THAN A BACH STRAD THE ML1 PLAYED SUPRISINGLY WELL FOR A HORN IN ITS PRICE RANGE. IT S NOT QUITE THE EQUAL TO THE BACH 180 BUT THE BACH HORN I TRIED HAD SERIOUS FLAWS INCLUDING BEING BUFFED SO THIN THAT THE 2ND SLIDE DENTED WITH FINGER PRESURE . THE BLESSINGS WORKMANSHIP IS DECENT I DONT LIKE THE BRACES AS THEY LOOK CHEAP . OVERALL I AM IMPRESSED AT HOW WELL THE ML1 PLAYS YOU CAN ALMOST BUY THREE ML1'S FOR THE PRICE OF MOST OF ITS COMPETETORS. I ALSO FOUND THAT THE SILVER HORN SEEMS TO PLAY MUCH BETTER THAN THE LACQUERD HORN.
