The 'Giorgianni 2000' is a new trumpet mouthpiece based on the
rediscovered European design from the 1920's.
The 2000 is a unique and radical design.The rim is semi flat with the inner rim diameter being about a Bach 7. The cup is very shallow with the inner rim constructed to keep the lips vibrating at very high frequencies.The backbore is balanced with the rest of the components to maximize free blowing in the extreme upper register.
With a modern backbore combined with the original cup and rim, the '2000' is a quantum leap into the upper
and extreme upper register, capable of producing full resonant tones from low F# to G, above Double High
C, and beyond.

It's really a great piece for what it's meant to do-scream. But beyond that it leaves nothing to be desired.
It was made by Kanstul as a gag gift for Joe Giorgianni for his birthday, but it turned out he could actually play it. (This also explains the striking physical similarities between this and the Kanstul Powerpiece).
If this were a Bach piece it would be a 7H Megatone.
Flat Rim, Open backbore, Extroadinarily tiny cup.
Impossible to play with any decent tone in the staff.

It is a sream only, gimmick mouthpiece. I defy ANYONE to play with any control over pitch, tuning or tone quality within the staff.

ive been playin trumpet for four years and im 14.over the past years i've had trouble with mouthpieces so i finally end up with a bach 11/2 b and it sucks balls. and next year im gonna have to take lead of the trumpet section because im the most experience,so everyone is gonna expect me to play all the lead parts(which i cant do cuz im cant play in the upper register b flat above the staff and up) because the mouthpiece i have isnt working out for me so im hoping on getting the giorgianni 2000 to see if it could help me out with the extreme upper register so if anyone cant contact me about this mouthpiece my email is arod270@yahoo.com,ireally hope this mouthpiece can help me with the upper register because thats all i need.

I bought this mouthpiece used from another player that was griping that it was a "gimmicky" item. I was initially leery of the VERY shallow cup, but soon found that it had a rich, FULL, tone in the middle to low registers. I started into the Hayden 2nd mvt and I was thrilled that I could get that kind of FAT sound. Of course I took it up an octave, right after and, with by adding air, screamed it. I have a very well developed emboucher and this worked very well for me. BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!!!

I am a lead player and collect mouthpieces, especially shallow ones. When I herd about this mouthpiece I knew I had to buy it. It turns out that this mouthpiece was made by Kanstul, who no longer makes it. DAMN IT!!!
