Taylor Chicago Lite

Description:
The Chicago Lite trumpet is a very versatile instrument. It is similar in weight to the 'Rio' model, but retains the playing characteristics of the Chicago horns. The sound has a little more edge to it. This makes it a great lead trumpet for players who like a free blowing horn, with bags of power and body.

Pros: The best all around horn I've played.
Cons: Amado water key.

If I had to take one horn to the war, this is it. It's great in-studio, as well as in a section or by itself. Quit trying to find old Committees and NY Bachs and try this model. The valves will be the best you'll touch, and the build quality is top.

Pros: Super sound and valves
Cons: didn't find any

I have to agree with the previous contributor. I only tried out a 'Lite' before finally settling on a 'Standard' and it is a fine horn. Beautiful sound and it lights up when necessary. My reason for not buying? I simply liked the 'Standard' a little bit more! (personal preference)

Pros: Intonation, response, sound, valves, look...
Cons: You can't buy all of them, unless you are VERY rich!

Beside the look, which is STUNNING, beside the Buerfind valves, that are the BEST in the world, you can't find a better trumpet than a Taylor!!!!!
Harmonics are so close together, sound is WONDERFUL, you can whisper and scream with ease. You can play classical and jazz, maybe not perfect as a lead horn (take a Custom Taylor if you want that!) but people will definetively hear you!!! Saving 2000 euro for a new Bach trumpet is, in my opinion, not wise. Better spend one time but for all!
